Creating an invoice
Create a blank invoice or generate one from a quote in seconds.
Creating an invoice
To create an invoice, go to Invoices in the top navigation and click New Invoice.
Options
Blank Invoice
Start fresh. You'll be asked for a customer name and optional email, then dropped straight into the invoice editor. Add your own line items from scratch or from your catalog.
From a Quote
Picks up an existing quote and pre-populates the invoice for you:
- Customer name and branding fields auto-fill from the quote.
- Visible line items from the customer quote are imported as invoice lines.
- Your invoice template defaults (payment details, footer, notes) are applied if one is saved.
Search by customer name or quote number to find the right quote.
From a Job (coming soon)
Will link an invoice directly to a Job record so billing is tracked against the project.
Invoice numbers
Invoice numbers are generated automatically in the format INV-YYYY-NNNNNN (e.g. INV-2026-000001). Each company has its own sequence. Numbers are never re-used.
A matching Payment Reference (QCP-INV-YYYY-NNNNNN) is generated at the same time. This is what you ask your customer to include when making a bank transfer so you can match the payment instantly.
After creating
You land in the invoice editor where you can add lines, adjust details, and set up payment instructions before sending.
